Court Sharing Guidelines
Drop-In Play (9-11 AM Monday-Friday is designated Drop-In Play)
All residents (and their accompanied guests) are welcome to group drop-in play and all players will be rotated into games when a game is over.
Courts will not be held exclusively by any group during designated Group Drop-In Play. Rotation of players will continue on all courts so that all are included.
A paddle box is available to line up paddles if needed to organize waiting players.
Players that have played the most games (no more than 2 games in a row) will rotate out. Partners will switch to a new partner after each game.
If 3-4 courts are in use, courts may be designated by the players by level of play. (novice, intermediate, advanced, “challenge court where winners remain on court”).
Open Court Play: (All other times not designated as Drop-In Play and courts are full)
All residents (and their accompanied guests) are welcome to Open Play,
Open Play is for groups of 2-4 players. If courts are full, groups of players will rotate off a court after 1 game (or 15 minutes if not scoring) allowing next group of waiting players to rotate onto the court.
Groups may choose to be exclusive OR may use a drop-in format to rotate in waiting players.
2-4 players place their paddles in the box together, when a court opens the group with the indicator moves to the open court. The “next in line indicator” is moved to the next set of paddles.
Play 1 game to 11, using traditional scoring, win by ONE.
If courts are being used for drilling/practice, ball machines, or coaching and courts are full, please use the court for 15 min. and then come off the court and place paddles in line for next available court.
Please come off the court immediately when your game is finished, and place your group’s paddles in the box together to take turns rotating onto a court.
Weekends: Open Court Play will be in effect on weekends so as to be sensitive to the growing neighborhood and number of residents who cannot play on weekdays.
Guests:
If courts are full, a limit of 1 guest per resident during Group Drop-In Play.
During all other times, a limit of 1 court per resident and their guests.
Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.
Noise: Park open sunrise to sunset. No ball sports until 7am.
Use of the tennis court for pickleball. Tennis players will have priority; therefore when tennis players arrive, pickleball players using the tennis courts will vacate at the end of their game and move pickleball equipment off the courts.
